The claim can now be revealed because he asked for the order to be lifted. It is unclear why he decided to withdraw the order, which banned any reporting of "sexual or other intimate acts or dealings" between Clarkson and Ms Hall. Ms Hall married Clarkson in 1989 but their marriage lasted only a year. She claims she had relationship with him after they split and Clarkson was married to his current wife, Frances. Clarkson's marriage came under fire from the tabloids earlier this year over claims he had cheated on his wife with a member of the Top Gear production team while in Australia. He denied the reports and said his 18-year marriage was strong. The couple have three children.
